Glossary

$500 Sandwich: When a car dealer goes out to lunch and misses a sale.

A-Bone: Model A Ford.

Boots: Tires.

Gear Box: Transmission.

Grocery Getter: Describes a nondescript car, generally bought by mothers and used primarily to get groceries.

Molded: Filling and reshaping body panels and seams.

Runner: A customer that gets up from the negotiating table and proceeds to walk out the door.

Ticky Ticky: A vehicle with a valve train noise.

Tire Kicker: A person that does not have the money to purchase a vehicle but looks just the same.

The Tower: A sales manager's office at a dealership.
