iTrip
The new line of iTrip FM transmitters from Griffin Technology, one of the most popular iPod accessories on the market, allows iPod users to play music wirelessly through any FM radio or car stereo, home entertainment system or portable stereo or radio.
iTrip works by connecting to the dock connector of your iPod and transmits music from your iPod to an open FM frequency on your car’s stereo all while optimizing the output volume. In turn, the iTrip Auto connects through your cigarette lighter port, simultaneously charging as it is plugged in while RoadTrip is an all-in-one FM transmitter and charging cradle for your iPod.
The soon-to-be released iTrip AutoPilot will allow users to charge, control and you’re your iPod or iPhone on your car stereo, while the high-end versions of the iTrip Auto and RoadTrip models are also decked out with SmartScan capabilities, which will automatically detect the three clearest frequencies where you are and save them as presets for you.
All models are equipped with a backlit LCD screen and a new brighter high-contrast display making it is easier to read. Models also come installed with SmartSound™ technology which maximizes the FM radio signal sent by iTrip to your car’s FM radio and auto-adjusts signal strength for each frequency. The devices are powered by the car’s electrical system, rather than draining your iPod’s batteries, and have selectable stereo and mono modes for best-quality audio. Speaker volume can also be controlled solely from the car stereo controls.
